Hi Folks
North face is open to ride !
Please be very careful to avoid the soft edges and berms.
Please do not ride on them, as doing so will just cause them to collapse. And you may go over the side, which is generally bad.
The soft edges and berms will pack down with rain over winter.
Many many people are starting to head down this trail, which is now 1620m of intermediate grade entertainment.
It is really great to see their smiles and their favourable comments.
**This trail is still being worked on, we will be there one day every weekend.. it is evolving, so expect some differences every week.
-->This might be a change that helps the track drain, or a it may be that nicer camber has been constructed, or a slightly adjusted line around some native trees. (this would be to help the trees!)
-->Or it might be a berm or a roller or perhaps a few turns where there were none before :-)
So expect suprises, of the nice kind, if you have ridden the trail already.

Enjoy the views and as you ride down, and spare a moment to reflect that the trail was built by volunteers...
The Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park land is owned by the Wellington City Council who are excellent hosts, but the trails are almost completely built by keen people in their own time.
I hope you enjoy riding this one!
Cheers,
