Today Ian (who wielded a GPS in the piloting missions, and has worked tirelessly ever since) and I went for a look at this trail. Ian had not ridden the trail at all, so off we went. Down the first 600m, then a wee walk up to Ridgeline, motor along there for a little while, then a small clamber back down onto the North Face again for the lower 700m or so.
I was struck by how very similar in character this track is to Sally Alley (although this one heads downhill, well 90% of it does!), which is a fine thing indeed. Parts are still too narrow, the downhill edge is way too soft to ride anywhere near, and many of the switchbacks are still tight& steep. But we will polish this rough diamond and it will be a thing of beauty!
Please see all of the info about dig days if you have a little time to help out- and make it "your" trail !
Shame I crashed on Zacs....
