The Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park is a community project that is managed jointly by the Makara Peak Supporters and Wellington City Council.  In addition to providing the land, Wellington City Council also supplies funding for track development and conservation via operational funding and grants along with direct support from the Parks & Gardens and Ranger Teams.  Your rates at work, thanks WCC.
